Toolkit Modules – Guidelines
Context:
“Raise Your Voice” is a Strategic Partnership supporting innovation in the field of adult education aimed at exploring the potential of public speaking in response to the changing world in which most relationships and business agreement are done online and not in presence. This, to help young adults in the process of personal and professional development through enhancement of advanced communication and entrepreneurial skills, with a specific focus on public speaking ability.
Structure:
The educational modules of the Toolkit will include the following ones:
- Good practices of public speaking enhancement and entrepreneurial approach
Every module will contain:
- Introduction;
- Workshops;
- Conclusion
Type of workshop:
The workshops of the toolkit should be elaborated as group sessions (2 workshops for each topic).
For the development of each session the following aspects should be considered: Workload, Methods and Delivery.

Objectives of the session | Good practices of public speaking enhancement and entrepreneurial approach. The aim of the workshop is: 1. Increase entrepreneurial attitude among the participants of the project; 2. A significant increase in knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship, including social entrepreneurship, employees’ rights and equality, as well as increasing the entrepreneurial awareness of the project participants and increasing their potential of leadership; 3. Exchange of good practices of Public Speaking. |

Delivery Content(s) | In case of small presentations created for the participants it is needed they are noted in the template so the trainer will know what he needs to have. Like, ppt presentations, videos, etc… |

Procedure | The procedure of the workshop session will be described by steps:Workshop 1) Step 1: Trainer will make a small presentation on what they are about to do and give necessary information for participants’ best interaction. Step 2: Topic 1: The discovery of neuroscience: structure, objectives, tools. Topic 2: Public Speaking acknowledgment:VerbalManagement of fearNot verbalEffects on the audienceThe signals conveyedBody languageFacial mimicCultural and social significanceParalinguistics Step 3: Labor Market: Working groups about: Analyze problems/inefficiencies which are caused by a lack of public speaking skills for labor market;Present ways to overcome public speaking fear and improve public speaking skills; Step 4: Reflection and Conclusion. Workshop 2) Step 1: Public Speaking Practice for entrepreneurial purpose:Learn to spell words – Check for breathing and pauses – Practice with assertiveness – Practice ‘elevator pitch’ Step 2: Self Evaluation of improvement and specific request(Question Time) this part of the workshop is designed according to participants’ needs. Step 3: Reflection and Conclusion. The atmosphere is safe, participants can share their fears, emotions, make mistakes, receive support and criticisms that favored improvement. |
Tips for Trainer | It is important to remember that during the piloting participants took part in the lesson with simulations and personal performances.For this reason, the trainer is prepared to:1. Analyze problems / inefficiencies caused by the lack of ability to speak in public in companies;2. Show how to overcome fear of public speaking and improve public speaking skills for project participants and stakeholders; Trainer needs to remember that participants may have fear of public speaking so he/she can make sure participants acquire new skills and feel more confident when speaking in front of an audience, with colleagues and / or superiors. |
